What is a Triad?
A triad is a group of three elements that work together to create balance and harmony. This concept has been applied to various fields, including music, art, science, communications, and even leadership development. By breaking down complex ideas into three interconnected and interdependent parts, triads can provide a simple and practical framework (or theory) for understanding and addressing different areas of life and leadership. Here are some popular triads:
Hegelian Triad - A theory of history progression through a series of three stages: thesis, antithesis, and synthesis.
Freudian Triad - A theory of human psyche consisting of the id, ego, and superego.
Peircean Triad - A theory of signs consisting of the sign, object, and interpretant.
Bloom's Taxonomy - A theory of three domains of learning: cognitive, affective, and psychomotor.
McLuhan's Media Triad - A theory of media consisting of the medium, message, and user.
The number three has held great significance throughout history and across various cultures and it holds significant spiritual and philosophical importance. In Christianity, the number three represents completeness, fulfillment, and divine perfection. This concept is seen throughout the Bible, from the Holy Trinity (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) to Jesus' three days in the tomb before His resurrection. Today, this idea of completeness and fulfillment is still prevalent.
At Lead My Heart (LMH), we believe in the power of triads. Our coaching and consulting philosophy is based on several triads that cover a range of topics, from personal development to leadership strategies that will undoubtedly go into a book one day soon. These triads are designed to help individuals achieve greater success and fulfillment in both their personal and professional lives. We are excited to share with you our approach to coaching and consulting, and this month, we are starting with sharing some of our triads in this month's webseries.
March Series: Triads to Live and Lead By
Our March series, "Triads to Live and Lead By," will focus on three of these essential triads and explore how they can help you become a better leader. Here is more information on the three triads that the host -- ME :-) -- will discuss in the series:
Sustainability Triad: Purpose, Passion, and Power
Sustainability is the first topic, and the triad that LMH will discuss on this topic is purpose, passion, and power. Purpose refers to having a clear understanding of one's goals and values, while passion refers to the drive and enthusiasm necessary to achieve those goals. Power, in this context, refers to the tools one has and the impact that one can have on the world around them. By aligning these three elements, individuals can create sustainable success in any area of their life. Join us Tuesday, March 28 at 10 AM CST to learn more about sustainability.
Fulfillment Triad: Align, Balance, and Chill
The second topic that LMH will address is fulfillment, and the triad that will be discussed is align, balance, and chill. Align refers to aligning one's goals and priorities with their divine purpose, while balance refers to finding a healthy balance between our personal and professional life. Chill, in this context, refers to the importance of taking the time to relax and recharge, allowing for greater productivity and overall well-being. Join us Wednesday, March 29 to learn more about fulfillment.
Self-Accountability Triad: Discipline, Development, and Discipleship
Finally, LMH will address self-accountability, and the triad that will be discussed is discipline, development, and discipleship. Discipline refers to the importance of creating a structure and routine in one's life to achieve their goals. Development refers to the ongoing process of learning and growing, while Christian discipleship refers to the importance of having a spiritual foundation to guide one's life and our commitment being a witness to God's love in our life and leadership. This triad is all about taking personal responsibility for your choices. Join us Thursday, March 30 to learn more about self-accountability.
